1. About us

Sher Scrap Metal operates a scrap metal yard in Sefton, NSW. We buy ferrous and non-ferrous metals subject to grading, weights, and site requirements.

2. Quotes and pricing

Any quote provided (including via phone, message, or form submission) is an estimate based on the information and photos supplied. Final pricing is confirmed after inspection and grading at the yard or at pickup.

• • Prices can change based on material type, cleanliness, quantity, and market conditions
• • Mixed or contaminated loads may be re-graded or declined
• • Weight is determined using our scales (or applicable calibrated equipment)

3. Yard drop-off

Yard drop-off is the recommended option for the fastest service and best outcome. Please follow staff directions on site at all times.

• • Trading hours: Mon–Sat, 7am–5pm (closed Sundays)
• • Bring photo ID if required for scrap sales
• • Separate metals where possible to speed up grading

4. Pickup service (eligible loads)

Pickup is available for eligible loads only. Eligibility depends on value, quantity, and site access. A pickup request does not guarantee we can collect the load.

• • Clear photos and details are required for assessment
• • You must provide safe and clear access for loading
• • Stairs, tight access, or special handling may affect feasibility and pricing
• • We may decline pickups that are low-value or unsafe to collect

5. Payments

Payments are made based on final grading and confirmed weight. Payment methods and timing may vary depending on material type and compliance requirements.

6. Safety and site rules

For safety, you must follow staff instructions, drive slowly, and keep clear of operational equipment. We may refuse service if behaviour is unsafe or abusive.

7. Prohibited and hazardous items

Do not bring hazardous or prohibited items. If you are unsure, contact us before attending. We may refuse items that are unsafe or not accepted.

8. Website use

You agree not to misuse the website, attempt to disrupt its operation, or submit false or misleading information.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights under Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

We may update these Terms from time to time by publishing an updated version on this page.
